Hydro/Aeration Pumps

    Hey guys,

Looking for a little help from you guys on my livewell pumps.

Both pumps work just fine, but only when they are put on “Manual” to keep them constantly running.

For some reason, they are not working on “Auto” for timed pumping. Is there something I can look at to fix this problem or has something on the pump gone bad? Also, when I have the aerator on manual, the livewell will just overflow…how do I resolve that?

    I have a 2004 Champion 193 CX…

Thanks in advance for any help/insight on this issue!

Sounds more like a timer or switch failure/issue. The pumps usually don’t have a timer in the unit it self. Dont know how champions are set up, but sometimes the spigot in the livewell will have a valve that can be adjusted to slow the waterflow to prevent overfilling.

Sounds like your timer switch is done.

By just overflow you mean run into the boat from the door or run out the overflow? On manual it just keeps pumping. New time switch will cost you $40 and simple job.

Do you know where that would be located? I can’t seem to find it anywhere.

Should be right behind your switch panel.

On the dash or where ever it is you make the selection from manual to auto.

Your manual/auto might be the timer switch. Hard to say without a picture or knowing what it looks like. Or it could be under your dash and look like a tube, it will be connected to the positive line coming off your aerator switch before it hits the fuse panel.

So the switch itself might have the timer built in, or it could be on the pos line for the aerator switches under the dash.

Found it guys, thanks. It was a blown fuse inside the switch box.
