WIth the crappie spawn is coming to an end in cetral MN, the Bluegill spawn is in full swing. Just about every lake I have been on this week the gills have been spawning, including Mille Lacs. Over the last week I have fished the Horseshoe Chain, Big Birch, many lakes around Park Rapids and of course Mille Lacs. Yep, gills spawning on every lake!
If you like to catch big gills this is the time to get them. Just remember to put the big ones back so they can finish what they are doing and insure a solid future.
