French Lake, Fairabault area

    I am thinking of hitting French, shields,or Mazaka on saturday. Any one have a report on ice conditions or the fishing. Wondering if the ice is good enough for a wheeler or sled. Thanks

    Willie, A good friend of mine lives on Roberd lake and says there is about 6in on that lake. He has been getting a few nice eyes at sunset. Guy I work with has been hitting Cannon lake and catching the heck out of little eyes.

    Be sure and check with the bait shops over there cause Mazaska and Shields can be very good at times too. The lakes there seem to cycle. That meaning every four years each lake takes turns being the ”hot lake” so to speak. Good luck and let us know how you do.
