I checked a few pages in the Outdoor Gear Forum and didn’t catch any topics about this reel, but if it’s already been discussed I apoplogize.

I’m thinking about upgrading to a Saros 1000F for my 6’6″ ML Fast Action St. Croix. I’ve read all the reviews on Cabelas website and they seem positive. Does anybody here use one of these reels? Is it worth the cash?? Thanks!

I bought 2 of them last year, and I love them. I had always used the Symetre, and always had good luck with them, but the Saros is definitely worth the extra cash!! Go get one and enjoy!

Nice reels, just make sure you play with the ones you are taking home. With all of the new Shimano spinning reels we have noticed that eveyonce in a very great while you will find one that isn’t quite has smooth has it should be. Probly just needs a bit of oil, but to play it safe we send them back. But if you get a good one, you get a good one.
