    I think you nailed it.
    Bigest problem with my roller trailer is steep launches where when I run the boat up the trailer, it wants to roll back off after it stops.

    Leaving it in gear seems to help, but it’d be nice to be able to kill power and have the boat stay there.

    Guy over on Walleye Central has a roller with bunks he added, might be the way to go.

    Just enough bunk to keep the boat from moving might be the ticket.
    I also run guide rods on either side of the trailer, they help a lot, especially in windy days or on rivers with stronger current.
