Being in the Telecom industry our equipment needs protection, did a bit of research and the brand i used was Panamax. I have had buildings get direct lighting hits and the Panamax protected equipment survived.
Made in the USA and they make products to cover every need. Look them up

So…i have to ask Ding dong ditch. Is that where you knock on the door and hide? We called it nicky, nicky 9 doors. We had one neighbor that would chase us so we had a couple of radios and the guy that knocked would hide in his front bushes and wait at the door. The neighbor would wait at his door or window in clear site so we could see him go sit down and it was game on again.

You know,we never did anything malicious and the odd time a car came down the road and wouldn’t go around our hockey nets but just sit there and honk the horn and one or two of the neighbors came out and put the run on them.

Being from Canada, we always had a road hockey game going.pretty much from sun up to sun down with maybe a hotdog for lunch. We would challenge other streets to games.

I sell cameras and unless they are good one they are usless. Having said that with everyone wearing face coverage they aren’t particularly effective now anyway. The best thing in my opinion is lighting. I have a large LED spotlight that pretty much lights up my driveway and yard from dusk to dawn and it does a pretty good job as a deterrence. It may also help that thieves see my cameras as well

You really don’t seem to be fishing to deep. One technique you could try is the Torpedo sinkers (can be fished as like a bottom bouncer but much more adjustable) I have been using Blood Run Walleye Copper for a number of years and it is a deadly technique for deeper depths and no weights

Minnkota’s latest generation has some serious moisture issues in their steering housing. I’ve replaced the bearings in my terrova twice in 2 years. The “seals” supposedly sealing off the steering housing are laughable. The terrova and ulterra steering housings are virtually the same too. The ulterra has an extra motor inside for the lift mechanism.

The motor is generally good, the steering housing is a total joke.

    It could use some improvement

My Xi5…worst POS i ever had, come to think of it both Motor Guide were junk

I thought the same, until I replaced the GPS module assembly. Then it was perfect.Only sold it to go to 24V,which is an Ulterra.Ulterra could be a semi-POS,it was in the shop twice.1st was the steering module got very noisy,2nd was that it popped the belt while stowing.Nothing’s perfect I reckon.

I had everything replaced on that Xi5, still junk I had the Ulterra and while good the steering motor is very noisy, had it replaced twice and both replacements were the same. Makes it tough casting for walleye in 3 feet of water with that head spinning all around. It worked great for trolling. I just switched to the Ghost

My boys started at 5 and i got asked to “coach” them, 19 years later i am still coaching, now some of the kids of the kids i coached. It’s a sad day when your kids “age out” and you suddenly find yourself not going to arenas 4 or 6 times a week. At 63 i still play 3 times a week and am fortunate to play with some guys that played and won Stanley Cups. My son was a goalie and got to fill in for our oldtimers team when our goalie tore up his knee, that was fun.Enjoy your time with your son or daughter,it is a great game and they can make some lifelong friends.

They can be fussy, I had an issue with a Live 9 networked to a Live 16. The 9 would go “no source” but the 16 stayed up and in fact didn’t dim when I started the 300. Put the voltage overlay on the screen, perhaps you have some corrosion in the circuit.

I worked for Bell Canada in North Western Ontario, did it all. Hanging off poles in -40 and in rain, sleet snow whatever. It can be tough work for sure but i would not have traded it for much. Ya i got bad shoulders, elbows and back but so do my buddies that worked in factories.

One mistake i made was purchasing new. I learned to late to just buy the Express or Savanna used and run them till the cost you money.

I just bought the Ulterra and love it, get all tingly when it deploys (like when i climbed the rope in gym class) i fish till freeze up and really hope there are no cold weather issues. Picking up a new boat tomorrow and it has the Ultrex, i asked him why and he said because of the freezing of the Ulterra issues. I’m swapping them out anyway and keeping my fingers crossed.

That picture is of my storage (how did you get into my shop?) I could take a closer pic if anyone wants one. My brother is a cabinet maker and did that in no time. Actually i zoomed in and it isn’t mine, but it is exactly the same. Mine was made with melamine

Don’t see how anybody can’t /won’t wear an inflatable. Dropped a buddy off at the ramp and i went back out, he stopped at the grocery store to pick some stuff up and realized he still had it on when at the cash…haha. Returned mine and bought his own

Never pay their regular price. If you renew call them and tell them you want the $4.99 per month. $60 per year is much more reasonable than the $240 regular price. I enjoy it in my vehicle, especially on long trips.

AND…don’t give them your credit card. Have them send you a bill

Before you try and straighten it, call a reel repair place and see if they have a handle …just in case. Then you will know how fussy you can try to be when you straighten it.

Speaking of difficulty opening beers… one time I tried smacking a glass bottle top off the beer on the side of the counter like I’ve seen in movies, and I ended up breaking the bottle a little bit… glass shards landed inside my beer and I had to dump it out. 🤦‍♀️ But the top came off nicely! I honestly can’t remember whose counter top was the victim of this but the counter held up great!

You wasted a beer because of a little glass? don’t you have any coffee filters?

Love the cars but just couldn’t own one, other than going to shows or the local meet on Friday night what do you do with them? Go do the store and park in the back forty and some tool jams in beside you for no reason (other than he is a tool). My buddy buils them and then sells them, he had a rag top GTO that won tons of awards but won’t sell any of his stuff to friends. I do get all tingly when i see an old muscle car. Like when i climbed the rope i gym class.

I guess same could be said about wives but lots of guys have those also. wink grin

That made me laugh.if i had to chose between the two…

I do not think it is the videos themselves. It is the pumping of the channel for likes. There have also been some folks that have advertised there channel here and never really contributed in any way to the discussions. Otherwise post away.

Ok, thanks for the decent reply, i add my channel in my signature because someone actually found me and reached out that his wife and he were celebrating there 30 or 40 th wedding anniversary and were coming to Canada (Montreal) and he wanted to fish the Bay of Quinte, he drove the 3 hours to Kingston and i took him out and he caught some big Walleye. As i recall he was from North Dakota. It was really enjoyable.
