There was a bit of a backup Wednesday morning at Bay Point as someone locked their keys in the car…..with the boat backed in the water at the ramp.
April 11, 2024 at 8:36 am #2266618People can’t read calendars anymore, myself included. From the number of boats out there yesterday you would have sworn it was a Saturday
March 3, 2024 at 1:33 pm #2257755Did word leak out yet what was working for the Tan Your Butt Off Tournament?
June 12, 2023 at 10:23 am #2207812Anyone try paddle tail swimbait styles other than Authentx? So many out there now, i ran a keitech a bit this past spring one day and did ok with it.
May 19, 2023 at 3:02 pm #2203690Nice birds all! Got another WI zone 4 bird on Wednesday

May 3, 2023 at 1:42 pm #2200656I know around p5 Alma the aspirin head ones with the treble stingers are popular. They sell them lots of places in single packs on cards, forget the brand (there are several that style)
May 3, 2023 at 10:13 am #2200589You got a pic of some of yours handy? Roughly how long are you tying them?
May 3, 2023 at 10:12 am #2200588IF i could limit myself to a few colors of bucktail that would be fine. But can guarantee if i got into it would end up with 20 different colors plus various flash and tinsel laying around.
May 3, 2023 at 9:59 am #2200584I knew that was coming! Ive tied a few, results were less than impressive.
March 8, 2023 at 1:57 pm #2187055Somewhat of a tangent, and know its been discussed here, but anyone use 15lb or more for a leader with blades to limit tangles? I know proper technique helps also.
March 8, 2023 at 1:55 pm #2187053And i also am a fan of high vis yellow or green, even white vs green/moss. I got the itch….and see some guys go as far as running mono on the top leader on a dubuque for bouyancy and flouro on the dropper
March 8, 2023 at 1:51 pm #2187052Not sure how accurate the specs are but shopping around seems like 832 has a higher diameter to lb test rating than most other braids
March 8, 2023 at 1:49 pm #2187051Pretty standard, i do 8-15 lb fireline or braid to floro. More of the 8 mainline with a 10lb leader for pitching and 15lb mainline with 14lb for dragging
December 3, 2022 at 12:29 pm #2163465I should, but have never lubed my 3 originals that are 25 years old and still function perfectly after tons of use and a use. Tks for the replies on the round ones, probably get one for starts and see how it goes
November 17, 2022 at 11:15 am #2159905I use homemade single strand 20 or 30lb titanium using figure 8 knots. 20lb allows use of action sensitive lures such as bass sized husky jerks. Fluoro same lb tests not so much. Fine if you’re using something like an inline spinner where you can’t really limit lure action
