River ice changes every day and even hour. A little sun and warmer water hits the system. Take an ice cube and run water on it. Basically what happens with river ice. Unless you have consistently cold weather river ice should always be treated with care and respect.

With how dry it’s been I’m worried a lot of smaller lakes may winter kill with the low water depths. The late freeze up helps a bit but we’ll see.

I tested negative this past week. I just felt off last week and had a constant headache, chills, and congestion. Figured may as well get the test Wednesday. Didn’t get results till late this weekend. Glad I didn’t have it but I guess I was cautious. I don’t think anyone really wants to spread it if they know they have it. We will all probably get it but I sure as heck don’t want to be the one that plays off symptoms and then gives it to someone else who gets it worse.

All I use is plastics and we have a ton of smaller perch just nipping at it. Usually with the gulp leeches you can catch the bigger perch while the smaller ones just nip it enough to cause a few issues but at least don’t take it.

Growing up in western mn and now living in the dakotas the rare days it’s not blowing seem like a surprise. So I can’t say that’s anymore windy now than in the past.

The only people that want to defund the police are young people who believe everything is sunshine and rainbows and no bad people are in this world. And criminals who will be free to pillage the city. A lot of young people haven’t seen how bad this world can be. That’s a great concept until it happens to them. They change that mindset pretty quickly.

The council president stated that by disbanding the police the white people can feel the fear that their black neighbors do. What kind of stupid statement is that? Wouldn’t you rather make everyone feel safe? She’s a strange one for sure if she believes the people can police themselves.. didn’t a week of anarchy not show what happens when laws aren’t upheld?

These idiots talking disbanding the police are doing a disservice. We need prison and police reform in this country and meaningful conversations in regards to that. Not making statements based on feelings and emotions when they’re running high.

I have a Deere along with the snowblower attachment. If you’re going to do it do it right the first time and don’t go the cheapest route. Fast mowing and snow blowing.

Walz is really showing his weak leadership in not sending the guards out tonight. Absolutely ridiculous.

So back around 2004 or so I bought a Sirius portable radio with a lifetime subscription ($500) That subscription was for the unit and internet log in. Well last year my login stopped working so I called and they said that my lifetime didn’t work for online. I mentioned I’ve had online access the entire time. I asked for the reps manager and boom right away they gave me my access back. 😉 best investment I’ve made since I can use the app in any vehicle. Second best investment was the lifetime small game and fishing license mn now that i live out of state.

I actually use a small minnow trap. Since you can trap minnows from the lake you can actually keep those minnows alive a bit better by using one of those and throwing it out further.

North Dakota opens Friday! I’ll wait a bit but we need to test these waters or we’ll never know what happens. The hospitals are not close to capacity and are actually laying staff off due to not enough work.

You don’t deserve any food any farmer or producer creates with that attitude. Canned foods, fruits, vegetables, boxed goods, and baking products. All require farmers and some factory creating end products. Go ahead live your life in fear. All you did was post comments that degrade the food suppliers of not only this country but a lot of the world. There’s going to be family farms that go bankrupt in an already tough market trying to feed a nation. With your expertise you may as well send all healthcare workers home. Why stop at that close the grocery stores where your magical food comes from as well. Growing up on a farm and working in the rural areas of the Midwest it’s amazing at how out of touch some people that have never stepped foot on a farm are.

You have no idea what closing all of the food processing plants would do to not only food supplies short term but for months maybe even years. Pigs are grown for 10 months and when they’re ready they go in order to let the piglets grow. What do you do when you have no place to bring them? You either kill the full grown and bury it or kill the young one and effect your herd in 10 months. People don’t realize how many animals are processed and how things escalate quickly into food shortages. And the people who lose in this is the farmer and consumer.

This is very very bad news for farmers and consumers. Producers can’t just decide not to bring animals to market. They need to go when they need to go. If not they are killed and buried. They have younger animals coming and they need to keep the process going. They can’t just change processors either.

This will have very long term effects in economies.

Private smaller fisheries will still be trying to fulfill some of those stocking contracts. Not nearly the numbers the dnr does but some. We have one preparing to milk walleyes from our private pond because they knew awhile back that this probably would happen.

Anyone see the video of a guy being arrested by two coast guard vessels in California while he was paddle boarding alone…

The problem with this and like any government order. It takes longer to remove restrictions the more that are issued. They’re trying to prevent the spread of the virus but that’s not going to work forever. We were all told this was to help the healthcare industry prepare for what can come. They’re at that point and actually many small hospitals are laying clinic staff off because they’re not doing any non emergency procedures or visits.

Lastly if they shut down opener or boat ramps come May we will start to see full blown riots. Citizens will only take this for so long.

Ive installed hundreds of them when I used to sell them. Those are the best clamps for a cover. The customer service at agri cover is pretty good. Give them a call or send a quick email and they can help you out and trouble shoot it. The c clamp for toppers won’t work very well and I know that from experience.

Also, where you clamp them on certain types of vehicles can make a difference. Some vehicles have a bit more metal under the bed rail in certain areas.

after using a ranger with tracks this winter I would never use wheels again. That thing just goes through things so well with little effort. You’ll be happy with that rig even though it will weigh more the track displacing the weight is much better. I did find it more difficult on glare ice but that’s anything really.

What kind of truck do you have and what brand of cover? Over time these do loosen up a bit but most times the cause starts because the cover is loose and flaps going down the road.. keep tension tight and it should hold better. Also, be sure to have the clamps lined up with each other. If one side is higher than the other it won’t hold as tight. You can see on your picture that one part of the clamp is below the other.

If someone with a immune system that is already stressed getting the flu or corona virus will be equally deadly. If the virus was more deadly to all ages and healths I would be more concerned. This virus isn’t killing completely healthy people left and right. Sure we’ll have a few odd healthy people parish but if most of us get corona we can survive at home with rest and fluids. All of this fear also makes people believe they need to go to the hospital or they will die. This is complete overreaction and actually make some our vulnerable populations more susceptible.

They got a killer haul compared to what the Texans got for Hopkins. Happy about this deal. Clears up more cap space and our offense is deep enough without him.

I work in dealerships across the dakotas and Minnesota. We were grounded from travel starting today. It’s going to be a very interesting month or so. I just wish I had some cash to invest in stocks next week.

Imagine closing schools or businesses if someone comes in with the flu…… gross overreacting and the media is to blame.

Well water is ok. Usually it’s the temperature changes stun the minnows. They need a slow transition

I laugh at companies that offer 5-10 days a year. Nope not going to happen. I remember my first couple jobs I didn’t even get a vacation day until after my first year and then it was 5 days. Glad I need I no longer with them. When I was looking last summer the vacation days really seemed to vary still and companies that have higher turnover usually seemed to have terrible vacation time. To me fair is right around 3-4 weeks starting with higher as you accrue years. If I take a week vacation I hate come back haha so best to take shorter vacations for me. Then again I travel for work and fridays are office days.

I see all of my questions to you all have been left unanswered…. no surprise there.

But, I’ll humor myself and ask them again.

As we as a society move closer to a “greener” energy grid, how do you suppose we build the infrastructure needed to get there? Each and every windmill, solar panel and battery will require mass quantities of the very metals Polymet and Twin Metals will be mining for. Do we just continue on mining them out of 3rd world countries where there are ZERO environmental regulations, just as long as it’s “not in our back yard”? Like Brazil!???

Don’t you know? Green technology has all green resources it’s just like grocery stores have food we don’t need cows or farmers. 😉

A lot of very ignorant people think our world can turn without any new raw materials being mined. That’s just completely absurd. With today’s regulations the new mines will be much safer and environmentally friendly than previous ones. The device you’re using to look at this probably has some of those very materials being mined. Same with the vehicle those tourists use to get to the boundary waters.

Queens get another call, and stole something that wasn’t theirs. Just like the call against Mathews a few years ago.

Defense holding first as well. Wouldn’t have had to use his arm at all if db hadn’t grabbed it..

Great game nonetheless and I didn’t think they would pull it out especially in the super dome
