Great horned owl for sure. Hopefully they hang around you during the summer when the juveniles are out and about. The feeding cry from those things will wake you up from a dead sleep! We have had a family hanging around for the past two summers and there is nothing finer than the midsummer music of nature!!!

I’m now feeling guilty when I’m tipped back in my easy chair, coffee in hand, watching the new shows after reading what goes into making that half hour come to life!!!

I once drank a large glass of this during my college days and “shuddered” my pants while puking…drink in moderation.

    Its damn tasty though!

Here is a link that I use. Doesn’t provide a forecast but based on the pattern, you can somewhat predict whether it is likely to rise or fall.

A pleasant surprise on the backyard camera. Haven’t see him all summer and then just like that, there he is.

They are spreading the money around if you are willing to go along with the program. Can’t raise the cost of a fishing license, but they can fine us when we leave the lake.

I would suspect that the money spent to implement all these AIS programs/inspections far outweighs the money gained from citations.

The claim that the DNR is falsely reporting milfoil infestations is bogus.

I second BenC. Just got back from a trip with Kinn’s out of Algoma. Four of us did a two day charter (6hrs fri afternoon, 6hrs sat morning). Cost was about $376 a person which included two hotel rooms at the Harbor Inn on Friday night. I fished with Captain Brad on the Cook’s Catch II and have zero complaints. We caught 3 on Friday and missed just as many but all boats seemed to struggle that day. On Saturday morning we went 11 for 11 for a total of 14 fish (1 laker, 3 steelhead, 10 kings). The Kings were good size ranging from 15-21lbs. We ended up with 60 lbs of fillets total. Troy is a good stick and will do all he can to get you a trip scheduled.

I’m not sure whose choice it was to go underground. I’m assuming it was the power company since there isn’t a power pole along the entire section mile.

I’m going to call Xcel Monday and see what they say.

Thanks for the heads up on the doors fish333…10 footers are in the plan.

    Thanks for the advice.

Onestout – the length that needs to be moved is after the “powerbox” situated on the corner of my property. Sounds like this could potentially be a private job rather than xcel??? Seems like it would be easier to deal with that xcel as well.

That’s exactly what you want to look for. I found about 30 today in west central WI. Mix of greys and yellows.

As others have said, we are on the front end. I would think by early next week they should really be popping.

I agree with Randy on Live Target lures. They are pricey but cast for miles and hold up well. I have had success with the Live target yellow perch and have added the gizzard shad to my box this year. The bluegill and pumpkinseed are killer on bass.

I’m will take a shot in the dark and say Bone Lake… although I don’t see any red nasty sores on those crappies so I could be wrong?

Glad to hear somebody is still putting the fish on the ice! Nice catch.

Randy, this is the first I have heard of this story and my stomach turned reading your post. I hope the family can find some closure with the discovery of her body and give her the proper respects she deserves. I also hope they can find the responsible party for this heinous act it they haven’t already done so.

May peace come to you and any others who have witnessed something someone should never have to see.

I have the bigger RAM mount and it is solid. I have it mounted to the plastic console which is not the best because it does have some wiggle from the flex in the console. That being said, the RAM mount itself is solid.

USACE ice depth measurements still showed 32 inches last Friday on the foot of the lake. Looks like it is open to point no point but 20 inches from there down. Ice will be measured again tomorrow.

Sit in the truck and lay on the horn a couple times. Usually about two honks and my wife comes outta the house madder than a wet hen! Fishing with a pissed off wife is better than not fishing at all (most of the time)

They did indeed. $27.50 tax on the receipt. Didn’t know it was illegal at the time!

I guess when I set my price I wasn’t factoring in discounts people get from buddies who work in the industry. Reeds is out of stock for the season. If they did have them for the great price of $550, what do u think the price is after tax? My guess is $575 ( where do u think I got this one.)

Anyway, this thread is going nowhere fast so this is where I’m out. Lx7 is a cool unit…just not for me. I have one for $575 if anyone is interested.

Good price…too bad you can’t add to cart and check out without Issue. Looks a bit shady for my liking but what do I know.

    Very understandable…
I know this unit is the cats for many people. I just figured I would post that the mechanical flashers still have a place to some people. They may be in the minority but they are out there, me being one. Not bashing marcum, just sayin everyone has different tastes.

Your going to have to keep it or come down on your price you can get them new for 535$

I’m sure those people still in the market for one of these units would like a link to this price. That is the best price I’ve heard.

Just trying to get back what I paid…or at least close.

If I can’t do that…I’m fine with keeping it. That is why I’m asking the price I am.

I’m looking to get $575 plus the $15 or so if shipping is needed.

I know I should heave researched more and I’m not saying it is a bad unit. Just saying I prefer the older school mechanical style.

If I can’t sell it, I will keep using it and maybe digital will grow on me. Maybe I just miss the order buzz my fl8 makes while operating
