Thanks Dutch. I have heard of them but didn’t know they did customs. I will give them a call tomorrow.

I think the PJ trailer that Coletrain27 posted would be a good option I just need a 24’ and after talking to my local dealer today they only make a 22’. The dealer would mount a winch on the deck with the PJ winch plate which would be handy to pull the skid house on. If they had a 24’ I think I would try one of them. I did price out a steel tilt and it was about twice the price.

Yeah I am thinking 24’ is what I want. I do have a 22’ equipment hauler that I am going to try but I just don’t think that will be ideal.

I am looking at the H&H Speedloader MX trailer plan would be to drive it on and back it off with it attached to the Ranger. Another member on here posted a picture Dec of 2019 with this exact setup and I have messaged him to see how well it works.

I just put a KFI poly plow on my Ranger a couple weeks ago and I am really happy with it so far. It hasn’t plowed more than about 6” each time so far though. It still is a steel frame and is supposedly close to as heavy as the steel blade KFI offers but the poly blade is taller.

I attached the price quote I got from Nick over at LaCannes Marine. Pretty sure the link Zach posted is the same boat. Hopefully this attached?

I am surprised they make you put in personal info to find a dealer. I hadn’t tried a dealer search since I noticed LaCannes is a dealer. I would really like to ride drive one.

MxSkeeter – keep us posted on how he likes the Vexus. They sure look nice in my opinion and it looks like nice well thought design from the pictures I have seen and what I have read.

From my understanding the 19’ version is in the mid to upper $50,000 range. I may be wrong on that but that’s what I thought I read somewhere. I know the 22’ version gets very expensive as does a similar Ranger. I do like that I can rig any motor I want on the back.

I can understand the dealer network concern right now. Hopefully that grows relatively quickly. A dealer (LaCannes Marine) that I have bought my last few boats from is now a dealer of Vexus and that is part of what struck my interest. They are three hours from where I live though so I have not made it there to look at them first hand yet.

I would be really interested if anyone has actually been on the water in a Vexus and what their thoughts were.

I have owned both an Otter Cabin and The Eskimo Grizzly. I currently own the Grizzly and I am happy with it. Both shacks are very heavy duty so it really just comes down to preference. I would recommend you look at both of them assembled and sit in the seats to see what is comfortable to you. The sleds on both of these are roto molded. I would recommend the Hyfax (Otter) or Tracking Kit (Eskimo). The travel cover on the Grizzly is very heavy duty as well I can’t remember if the cover for my Otter Cabin was quite as heavy duty or not? You can also get hitches for either of them.

Hello Tom. I am not a snowmobile expert by any means. I did purchase a new Yamaha VK540 snowmobile this year for a utility/ fishing snowmobile. I did a lot of research and most people I talked to said this is a bulletproof snowmobile and engine. I only have 34 miles on mine so very little use but I like it so far. It has a 20 inch wide x 156 inch track with 1.5” lugs. Not sure if you are looking for a 4 stroke or 2 stroke? I went 2 stroke based on my needs and the fact that I won’t put a ton of miles on it trail riding. The snowmobile has high, low, and reverse. This is the same sled that Aaron uses on Uncut angling also if you watch any videos of his.

Look at “Weeders Digest”. I just ordered one from them a month ago. They bought the rights to the Jaws of Ice from what they told me. They will be the ones continuing to make them and warranty them. Good people to deal with from my interactions with them. I like the Jaws of Ice but have not used it much yet.

Already checked and at this time there are no ordinances in place. I am sure this could change.

I would be looking to rent out 10 to 12 weeks a year of which I can think of several friends and family that would want to rent some of that time too. I have personally stayed at a VRBO and respected it as if it was my own. I realize not everyone is as respectful. I also have a local to watch over the place. I would restrict the rental to a certain number of people as well. I get this May rub a lot of people the wrong way especially if you have had bad experiences. Another option that I have discussed is working with one of the several resorts for them to use it as an overflow rental. That was actually suggested by the realtor who has been a resort owner in the area. I appreciate all of the feedback whether it is for or against.

The party crowd is what would scare me! I have checked into cleaning services and maintenance and have that all figured out. I currently rent a cabin for a week at a time up here and have not run into a party crowd yet. Mostly been other families like mine. All things to consider and this is the feedback I am after.

David – negative on the pontoon. You trade your boat for a pontoon first then I will think about it.

It is what I use and I really like it. I don’t have experience with other leadcore though so nothing to compare it to. I haven’t had any problems with it though.

Sorry to hear that. I have been in the same situation a couple of times where people sell stuff on me. If I Know someone is driving to me for something I have for sale I give them first chance. I sold a boat earlier this year and held it for the guy.

I had a 2015 Suzuki 115 SS and I loved it. The only negative I have heard but didn’t experience is that it can take some time to get parts if needed. Personally I would by another Suzuki in a heartbeat. I too am a Yamaha guy but Suzuki is right up there too. I have been in a few boats with newer Merc’s and they were nice too. Tough decisions. There is only one motor brand I won’t buy again based on bad experience. Good luck with your decision.

Yeah I thought it was a little spendy too but I want it mounted so it looks good and is useful so I will likely end up buying it also. For the price the base and arm should come with it but oh well.

How have you guys mounted the itroll if you have? I see they sell a piece that fits a 1” Ram ball.

I stay at idlewild and will continue to do so every year. They are knowledgeable about the fishing too (both Tim and Wiley). Very good place to stay and good people. My daughter loves it for the swimming pool and play area. Good family resort and I highly recommend it.

Will I need lakemaster cards for each unit or can they share one card?
