Unless you have a grudge against yourself I would stay away on weekends for awhile. Even Mondays are crowded right now, although everyone has been friendly and well behaved. No problems in my experience this year, your results may vary.

The safest thing to do is take it to Brian K. He will keep it safe until I get there to pick it up……….B

We took a vote here at the river. It’s unanimous. You suck.

I shoulda said yesterday was the worst for me, we only fished the dam area to the mouth of the vermillon but it was still fun, i think there was to much boat traffic lol, it was only the 2nd time in my life we had it all to ourselves, guess i don’t know how to fish

Yup, me too! Worst winter I’ve had since 2001

I gotta stick with Les Kouba. He painted it the way I remember it, but I’m a hard headed old prick

Flatheads taste best in winter. Doesn’t matter where their hooked. Cut off the tail and hang em awhile, then throw em in the crockpot. Tastes just like chicken!

I Hope to see most of you at The Bluffs Friday nite. The boys put on a great show!! They’ve been playing one gig after another all summer and having a ball! SO unless you don’t like music, food, beer and fun I’ll see ya there…..B

Thanks! Gregg and Scott at West End have helped me out of several jams over the years, great guys!! I didn’t know they carried bulk opti oil, I’ll give em a call.

Back in the bad old days when I was a kid, we used a small snap swivel and treble hook. With the treble unhooked from the snap, thread the hook up through the liver and then attach the hook to the snap. Worked for me

Forgot to mention the motor is a pull start. Do you guys think it is a big deal and also forgot to mention that I will mainly be using the boat on te Mississippi and pool 4. Will it be capable of the task??

I have had many boats, but my most productive rig on p4 as well as other rivers was the rig you are looking at. It ain’t the arrow, it’s the Indian!!

From the above the clam beds to the old “Rock Wall” and down to across from the Vermillion a couple little known old wingdams and a few rock piles have been dredged out…Those were favorite spots and produced many huge Eyes for some of the more notable walleye Guides and river rats here…
Outside bend rip raps are not as desireable as inside bends to the fish.
Lets just stop there and leave the other honey holes

I got out on my favorite East Metro Bass lake this morning early. To the East it was still dark, and in the West there was a big old full Moon. Water temp was 58 degrees by the way. I wasn’t doing anything for a while and then the Moon finally set. For the next 20 minutes the Bass went nuts! Six fish in 20 minutes, all very aggressive biters and well hooked. And then it was over just like that. The next 3 hours were a complete blank and I saw only one other boat hook up in that time. I’ve had that happen at least twice before over the years, once near Aitkin and once on this lake mny years ago.

So was this a fluke or did they really wait until it was the darkest time of night?
