Best of luck Andy. Hopefully our prayers will be answered.

Weather looks pretty favorable tomorrow. May try and get my oldest out to Kalmer for a little evening fishing. Any suggestions as to what type of presentations work best out there?
Thanks.Andy
I was out there Sunday used Very small jig 18″ under a slip bobber and tiped the jig with Berkley Power Wigglers (Waxie imatators). Couldn’t keep the sunnies, crappies & perch off the hook. Not much size but alot of action.
Good Luck!
May 5, 2007 at 12:12 pm #568179Every once in a while out there, you’ll get those wonderful nights, when there isn’t too much wind, that besides the great fishing, you can hear the sound of a woodpecker in the background. You can see deer in the shoreline woods, while an eagle is flying above you! You watch your bobber slowly sink and set the hook on one of the biggest crappies you’ve seen in a while! The whole overall experience is one not to be missed!
April 27, 2007 at 3:40 am #565382Thanks Mike for a fun time! We did pretty good and my partner Mike Schmitt caught a 9lb – 8oz Northern on 4 lb test line! We had a ball! If you haven’t fished in one of these events, try to make one soon – the next couple should be even better!

I don’t think so!!!!
April 13, 2007 at 1:51 pm #560353All in all, I’d say it was an embarassing performance for the whole lot of us. Hopefully warmer days are ahead!
April 5, 2007 at 12:57 am #557219On one of our Zumbro outings last week, we discovered how effective anchoring really is. It was a tough bite, and when we found some active fish, we put out the anchor and stayed on that spot for about 2.5 hrs. That is how we got the bulk of our catch that day. It really helped to stay on the “spot on the spot” that day and anchoring was the ticket.
April 1, 2007 at 2:39 pm #555650I stopped in yesterday for some light jigs and bobbers that I needed the last time I was on the water. Even better than the tackle selection is the conversation whenever I visit HOF!!! Thanks Mike!
March 5, 2007 at 3:00 am #544648There couldn’t have been a better run (or as fun) event. Thanks Mike, Bill & doug for a fantastic time!
March 1, 2007 at 10:01 pm #543504I’ll be there. Hopefully wearing sunglasses
Maybe bringing an ex-HOF employee.
February 21, 2007 at 3:44 am #539483I agree 100%! Website wars are for the birds. I am promoting this GTG on my website and hope to see everyone from the Rochester and SE Minnesota area present! It’s all for the fun of it. I only hope the weather co-operates (I hear their might be snow!)
February 11, 2007 at 5:10 am #535355It was a decent turnout. The kids looked to have a great time. I took some photos if you’re interested. The hot air balloon launches were spectacular! Thanks to Mike for the bait.
January 30, 2007 at 12:44 am #529724I made it out to the show on Saturday…some real nice boats & campers. I wish there were some more tackle representatives there though.
January 20, 2007 at 6:01 am #525444I hit Chester today…a good 8 inches of ice everywhere I drilled. Only managed 2 nice gills in 4 hours of fishing, but marked alot of unco-operative fish. Go deep! Find 26+ feet of water and you will find the fish suspended between 10-20 ft. I saw many anglers further south closer to the the dam area, but did not go back that far.
December 6, 2006 at 12:39 am #507496Thanks Mike, those diamond jigs I got from you worked great! Gills can’t resist them with a waxie.
December 6, 2006 at 12:27 am #507492Decided to give Kalmar a try today, fished it from 4 to 6pm. The sunfish came one after another, most small but 3 or 4 were keeper size. All fish released. Ice is 4 to 5 inches and here to stay (hopefully)!
