Where to find certified scales for weighing fish?

We were out yesterday on Leech and may have caught a state record rock bass while Lindy rigging to walleye. It’s 13” long, which puts it in the record zone. We’ve kept it alive off the dock and are hoping to find a certified scale to have it weighed. Does anyone know where to go in the Walker area for an official fish weight?

I believe Shrivers has one, or could at least tell you who does.

Call the local DNR officer, not only will he be able to direct you to a certified scale he can also verify the species and other details needed to claim the record. Congrats

Call or stop at reeds. I’m sure they could help.

A post office, UPS Store, or FedEx Express should all have a certified scale. I believe the most recent state record muskie by weight from Mille Lacs was weighed at a UPS Store.
