    This doe swings through one of my spots every day. Any idea what is up with her neck and the lack of fur. Is she safe to eat?

    Might be shedding her summer coat, ticks, or barbed wire scares. She has a gut on her! I’d kill her!

    I’d say it’s her shedding her summer coat. They can look real ratty for a while until they fully shed.

    Between ticks and shedding her coat, she’s fine. 1 month and she’ll look just fine…and tasty!

    Good to know…I just thought it was odd because all of the other deer in photos look fine. She and all of the other does where I am hunting are fatties. Guess they have been eating well. Excited for Bow opening weekend just hope it isn’t as warm as the forecast says.
