With the forecast over the next 5 days being in the 40’s with rain, what is this going to do to the ice? Should a guy pull off his wheelhouse or skid house given the forecast? Especially concerned about the metro area where most of the lakes I have fished only had 12″-15″ to begin with. What are other people planning on doing?
Unless you want to spend hours digging your house out of the ice, I’d pull it before it cools down again. I don’t think this will hurt the ice. It’ll just melt the snow and make more ice in top of what we already have.

We have a week of above freezing temps in southeast wisconsin. A couple shacks came off our lake, but ours and a lot of others are still out there. I will be checking on it daily, but we have it up on wood, out of the water. Hopefully, it gets cold again…
