This pattern will start to kick into high gear over the next couple weeks as water temps drop. If you can figure out how the shad move as the water temps drop you can get yourself onto a great big walleye bite.

With the cooler temps these last few days the parade of big walleye pics from the river won’t be far behind.

The last two weekends we have started the grueling task of moving in to our new lease ground. To say we have been working 12hr days would be an understatement. Nevertheless, we have had a ton of fun and come acrossed many new findings along the way. We havent had a lot of time for shed hunting, but it does seem to happen on the way to looking at and working on everything else. We have tripped on roughly 6-8 sheds so far, mostly 2.5yr olds and younger but have seen some excellent potential also. One frustrated food plotter in our group gave up after a small equipment failure and decided to take a little walk. Not even 50yds off the plot she stumpled upon something that I KNOW someone is still losing a little sleep over. So excited about her find, she didnt even bother to grab any help, rather she dragged the entire carcass out screaming and hollaring with her find.

We scored him out today at 165 1/8 Gross. Pretty good for an 8pt! I have no problem knowing his 8pt genes out there running around still.

Awesome find JJ, saw the picture yesterday from your dad. To bad he won’t be around this year but, like you said, his genetics will be there for years to come.

Sounds like you got into an awesome property!
