Has any one been to Whitewater state park recently? I am hoping to do some fishing (barbless) this weekend, but not sure if it will be worth the time if it is high and muddy..

not sure if it will be that high, but it will be a bit muddy with the rain we got. but is it the law to have barbless hooks I the spring catch and release season
I agree, the water conditions are going to be tough with high dirty water down here. FYI there is also a 7-mile stretch of Hwy 74 north of Beaver that is closed so keep that in mind if you are heading over that way.
There is a webpage for stream conditions on the mn dnr web page. I dont have the exact address. But thats what i use to check.
So yeah, it was really muddy. We stubbornly casted away anyways to no avail.
Do the trout become very inactive when the water is muddy or is it just a matter that they didnt see my lure?
And yeah, it is my understanding that the early spring season is barbless only.
