Pease or Platte?

    Has anyone been up on the river system in the Platte Creek or Pease Creek area lately? I leave Saturday for the area.

    I was at the Platte Cr. area a couple weeks ago. What are your concerns?

    That is my normal walleye fishing area, Folks have a place between the 2. It has been slowish in the area, most fish are coming on plastics pitched to the rocks on shore. Some days are quick limits, some are no fish days. I am sure that the rig bite is moments away from starting. Graduation weekend here this weekend, or I would be out there most likely working the sand flats around platte in 8-12 feet with a minnow and a bead at about 1.2 MPH.

    A good rule of thumb….ice out to middle April go to Chamberlain. Late April – end of June go to Platte. July-August go to Pease and south.
