One word guys,WIND!!!!. I had to deal with a 25-30mph today.This took out alot of water I wanted to fish.Along for the very rough ride was my 9 year old son Austin and my 3 year old Golden Retreiver Tucker.We fished what we could without having to fight the wind.Over all it was a good day with 30 gills,1 smallie, and 1 walleye.We kept a dozen gills to eat and the rest went back in the water.Once we found the active gills it was very fun.A vertical presentation with a pilkie tipped with a max worm worked the best for us.We worked the 12-15″ range in the mouth of Millers Bay.West Okoboji has some great gill fishing,get the kids out and enjoy!Best of luck.
