Water…

    Ryan,

    Wow this forum hasn’t been very active… course I just awoke from hybernation myself hahaha. What’s the water level looking like for Okoboji? I was told it was way down but I can hardly believe that given the amount of water we had last fall… course the winter has been basically a drought. What’s your take on it?

    Water levels should be excellent. Our dock on West Okoboji had water 6 inches under it at the end of the year. That means between the time we put it in to when we took it out the lake came upas much as 15 to 20 inches I ma guessing. Looking forward to open water.

    I would think with the heavy rain, 7 or 8 inches in 24 hours this last fall(I think it was), things should be ok. I know my kids said there was plenty of water, when I was out in Nov. things seemed normal.

    Curt,water levels are good right now.The spillway between East and Spirit is the best way to tell.If it is running then we usually have full lakes.
