MN Conservation License Question

    Hey,
I bought a MN conservation fishing license for the first time this year. It allows half of the usual limit. I like to keep and eat fish, but I really don’t need to keep a limit as I fish enough I can go out and get fish to eat whenever I want.

    Two questions on this though:

    1. What if the limit is an odd number? (such as the current Northern Pike regulation of 3). Just curious

    2. A bigger question, is can I keep a walleye over 20 inches if I want to put one on the wall? The general regulations for the state are 6 fish, but only 1 over 20”. Are my regulations with the conservation license 3 fish, only 1 over 20”? Or 3 fish, none over 20”?

This should clear up question #1, at least (divide the regular limit by 2 and round down). As for #2, I would interpret it that you could have one over 20″, but I’m not the one writing tickets. )
