does anybody know how to change the display so that the gain and range buttons are hidden when fishing. A friend has his so that they are not on the screen, but he has no idea how he got it that way. I can find nothing regarding this in the manual or online. The arrows in the attached pic show what I want to eliminate…..

It was added in a recent software update and most owners hate it, Garmin acknowledged it should have been made selectable and will get fixed in a future update.

i’m guessing it’s there, Do you run a Echomap 93? what firmware are you on? 14.20 or 15.10?…you can also auto-hide the bottom gray bar, but it can be a pain in the ass sometimes trying to open the menu and it hits the gain buttons…

Echomap 93 not sure on 14.20 or 15.10 I’m not that sophisticated yet. Still in the learning stage. sad
Heading out now, the locals say the bite has been “on” at sunset, hoping full moon makes for a good bite tonight! toast

    Stay tuned…….

Quick tip, turning on the bottom bar auto-hide feature will give you a bit more real estate for your display.

Just know if you adjust the gain and depth alot you’ll fat finger the menu alot…fix from Garmin should be soon, it’s embarrassing they did it that way…

How do you get the grid lines for depth and forward range to disappear? I hate how my jig is always in line with the vertical line

    Menu – Sonar setup – appearance – grid overlay – show/hide
