I hit a nice one tonight but lost blood trail after around a 1/2 mile. Searched a long time and feel bad. Gonna look some more in the morning
November 7, 2020 at 7:49 pm #1986128My daughter got her first eight pointer in her short hunting career. She shot it in the lung at 7:01 this morning and I just finished vacuum sealing the last pack at 7:25. 243 dropped it in its tracks. I was sitting in the stand with her, more fun than shooting it myself.

November 7, 2020 at 8:10 pm #1986138Thanks she’s pretty excited, going to do a European mount for her.

You should shoot straighter. Lol only joking that is depressing. Hope you find him
November 7, 2020 at 8:48 pm #1986148I could only hunt today until 1030, I sadly didn’t even see a movement besides 3 black squirrels.
Neighbor shot at 557. Really aggravated me. Then came over to brag about the big buck.
TimmyPosts: 1181November 7, 2020 at 8:50 pm #1986149I shot this guy after he freshened a scrape just before noon.

TimmyPosts: 1181November 8, 2020 at 6:27 pm #1986316Nephew shot his biggest this morning, which was exciting. Interestingly, after the recent baiting thread, I sliced the stomachs open after gutting this year and found his was full of corn, mine wasn’t. Somebody in the area is feeding them….. more deer we shoot have corn in them than not.

I also wondered the same thing, I shot a big doe opening morning and when I gutted her I also found corn. We don’t have corn anywhere near us. It is public land by the way.
