This showed up the other day in my FB feed… Kind of an interesting looking contraption that pulls the rib bones and skin from a fillet. Not sure I’m ready to drop $150 on one yet but I’m definitely curious.

Other than the electric motor its the same thing my Dad had when I was growing up. We used it mainly on pike and walleye since we scaled and ate panfish skin.

Pretty neat idea. I would be interested but not at that price.

The hand crank model is still available. I bought one this spring, takes rib bones out slick as a whistle. Haven’t tried skinning anything with it as it’s easier/quicker with a knife.- – jerr

I’d like the manual one just for the rib bones.
