Ice Armor Blue Suit as Rain Gear

Does anybody know if the blue Ice Armor suit can double as rain gear? My guess is it will shed some rain showers but may soak through in an all day soaking rain.

Uncle and I are headed to Green Bay in a couple weeks and he’s wondering if his blue suit will cut it if we run into some rainy weather.

    Thanks,

    Unless they changed, then no.

Just have him get a cheap set of Frogg Toggs to go over it. Get it one size larger than he currently wears.

Its good for about 20 min or so depending on how hard its raining. After 20 min or so, it gets water logged and is no good. Its definitely not waterproof material.

Get a two or three cans of Camp Dry and coat it well. It will repell every drop of water dumped on it. I used to do it on my Carhartt bibs before I got an ice suit. I was able to kneel in slush and water all day and not get wet.

I still do it to my ice suit every couple years as I use it in the cold rains as well.
