I’ve never seen anything that will hold like a waterspike. You do need to use a lot of extra rope with that design. If you try and get by with a short leash you’ll work the diggers up out of the sand. I’d be interested in seeing photos of those other designs if you can come up with them.

What is the rule of thumb…3X the depth I think?
June 25, 2008 at 10:37 am #695048The Water Spike with plenty of line out and the Drop-N-Stay bungy that Dean sells should tame that sand in a hurry!
June 25, 2008 at 1:00 pm #695084Which size of Water Spike were you using?
That can be a factor as well. But we all know there are days when it is impossible.June 25, 2008 at 2:56 pm #695135Guys: I am using the Stearns bungy setup with lots of line out. I don’t have the waterspike anymore, that was years ago when I had one. And, James I’ll try and email you the link for one of the home brewski’s. Thanks, Gregory

They still sell it 1 mile out of town in 3 different places
Nice!
April 6, 2011 at 8:04 pm #103959So your saying it is possible for a riding lawnmore to make it 2 miles. Interesting.

That had as much of a chance as the 2 lines in MN bill
The 2 line bill DID make it through committe along with the repeal of the 4-point rule and taking away the decision rights of the DNR, oh yeah, lets allow the party hunting again as well!
April 7, 2011 at 11:33 am #103983The two line bill typically makes it through committee each year if I recall correctly. I still have no worries about the APR being pulled.
