We have just been hit by an artic blast. Forecast will be for single didget highs and below 0 lows for the next 7-10 days. Northerns are active on Mellissa, Sallie, and Little Detroit. Most active early am and 4-5pm. Size ranging from 22-38″ very common and best bait has been med suckers and/or shiners. Walleyes are biting with good average size (14-19″), but not great for numbers. Big DL, White Earth, Big Pine and Otter Tail have been consistant. Best baits have been the shiners and rainbows on glow jigs. Good eyes have been shallow (12-16′) Crappies and Sunnies are biting all over on weed edges on crappie minnows and/or waxies. 4pm until dark 30+ seems to be best bet. Make sure you have your heaters ready to rock!
