Just returned from our Memorial Day weekend at Big Pine. The walleyes were not participating in the fun. We worked very hard and only got 8 keepers. the perch on the other hand kept us interested.

We tried most everything we have done in the past, but, this was the least productive weekend in our last 8 trips. I guess they can’t all be great.

On top of the fishing being on the poor side, the resort we have been staying at has been sold, so now we are looking for a new fishing cabin to rent for our trips to the Perham area. We took a drive over to Big Toad and we are thinking that may be a good place to try out. Anyone know of a good place available that rents out cabins on Big Toad?

Nothern Inn on the north end is not just a bar and restaurant, they have cabins also. Bambi Resort is on the North east end of the lake and has clean cabins and is very well run. By the way….Otter Tail has turned on and is producing alot of 13-19′ fish!
