Anyone know what "barn salt" is?

    The milaw gave me an old family recipe for pickled peppers and one of the ingredients is barn salt. She claims that is 100 percent correct and is what made these so good.

    Anyone know what barn salt is? Google gets me nowhere.

    Just coarse grained, un-iodized salt. Kosher salt is the same thing.

    Might be the salt they got for grinding with feed. 40-50# bag. We used it all the time on the farm. Feed, making sausage or for the table. All the same.
