Sratcher there still a couple OG people there and there are things I can tell you about that place and the people in control of it but I think you know most of it !
I dont miss the place at all and only miss 3-4 campers still there, those eggs shells you walked on were the same ones I walked for 3 years. I am glad to be rid of that place ,It hasnt hurt my tackle Bussines at all if anything it has helped it because I can sell when, were and how I want now ..even the new campsite let me put a banner on the back of my camper for advertisement..
FYI…I have blocked him and that place from everything I am on !

Trumar, where do you get your blanks from, or do you mold them, too?

    Nice.

Tim. My blanks were stamped for the original owner of my Company and I pour/paint them for my company Tru-Tied Tackle LLC.

Very nice. Is that just freehand? I’m guessing so, but they’re really consistent and they don’t have big runs on them, so that’s different than my painting experiences.

Those are all done by freehand and airbrush And template for the stripes

Tho hiring a guide will shorten their learning curve on pool 4 I found out years ago that time on the water and learning the current conditions was more beneficial to me than hiring a guide .
The pool 4 area changes almost daily and is at times very humbling to fish .
I know my way around pretty good from dam 3 down to head of Lake Pepin , there are days I just cruise around and check areas of interest to see what it looks like and if any fish are present.

Keep in mind any amount of high water can change parts or the whole river.

I suggest pick an area and go study it with your electronics ,if you like the area mark and name a way point to come back to and fish it.

Not all the fish are at the dam or in Lake Pepin, there are a lot areas the fish will stage in between those to areas all times of the year !

Put your time in learning the areas and you will be rewarded.

Being the owner of a Fishing company(Tru-Tied Tackle LLC) I get asked all the time where they at or get told what’s working , but rarely they mention where they got them .

Any questions feel free to message me on Face Book under my business and I will do my best to help

I’ve used the Scotty brand rod holders for years. upgraded boats and need new ones.

what do you guys use? looking for recommendations. I do not use down riggers.

Folbe rod holders ..Big reels use the Folbe Advantage and for Spinning reels use the Folbe Jr’s

I have 4 of each for my boat, once you get used to them they are really easy to use..just lift straight up and forward at same time..

I don’t back troll so mine are mine are set up to open up and forward to insure hook set if needed.

    This thread went to crap!

If your having trouble googling Tom’s location, it just to the North of the old, now closed “gentleman” club, The Border Lounge.

Tom’s open however he’s light to the tackle at this time. He’s moving into another section of the building and working up his stock. Totally stocked on Live Bait though.

According to our conversation on Saturday sounds like Tru-Tied Tackle LLC will help take care some of that tackle shortage.

We look forward to building the new friendship !

I have a minn kota power drive v2 from before 2017. I believe it’s somewhere in the 2000’s. From everything I’m finding, it seems as though they have discontinued the i pilot upgrade kit. You now need a new unit (post 2017 w/bluetooth) to upgrade. Anyone know if my unit is compatible with any purchasable I pilot kit? If so, where can I get one asap? Any help would be appreciated.

I heard you can buy one for the Saltwater edition and it work fine but you will have white Ipilot head

Are these jigs on the racks at Scheels in Rochester??

Yes they are,can also be purchased straight through me

Awesome. Will do in the future. Purchased several recently and they’ve quickly become my go to jig. That parakeet color pattern is money.

    Thanks for your purchases !
