Wouldn’t this make Quick Strike rigs, Dubuque Rigs and Double Stickbait setups illegal? Is the Alabama Rig that much of a problem? Seems unnecessary to me. Maybe I’m reading this wrong. I understand limiting what bait is used, but why the number of hooks?
June 5, 2011 at 10:03 pm #971104I’m almost 100 percent sure you cannot share map data over any connection (nmea or ethernet). Sure wish you could. If you find out different I’d love to know how to do it.
February 17, 2011 at 10:55 am #938275I just bought an HDS-8, an upgrade from the 5 I had. I think the 8 is much more user friendly then the 5. The 6 quick buttons on the bottom of the unit seem to make things easier for me. And the bigger screen really makes a difference also. As far as the Lake Insight goes I would save the money and buy a good mapping chip. I have found the accuracy of the Insight maps to be suspect in the waters I fish here in Iowa and the ones I fish in Minnesota (Leech Lake especially). I had Insight on my HDS-5, but didn’t get it on the HDS-8. Thats my 2 cents.
February 8, 2011 at 5:19 pm #935106Thanks for the quick reply. June 4 is perfect. A couple days digging up walleyes, then the rest chasing skis. Good luck with the fly rod Dog! Hope you nail one right off!

July 23, 2009 at 2:16 am #792466Sorry to hear about your misfortune. That ramp is a hazard all around, the north side drops off if you back in to far and the south side of the ramp has a “nice” rockpile 25 foot out, not to mention the broken concrete and rebar sticking out of the ramp itself. They are suppose to fix that ramp next year, in the meantime 9th Ave. North is the only safe ramp till its fixed.
