Nice fish,James! Curious how much the 32 incher weighed?

The price was reasonable but Frank can tell you. Turn around was however long the mail took to deliver it and get it back. He did it same day if I remember correctly.

I’ve used dryer sheets under each foot and they are pretty slippery.
I’ve tried waxpaper and it is ok but will tear. Or I slip a towel under the front and pull it out far enough to get at the back feet.
Hi
Would you be interested in a wood cookstove? I have a smaller one that was used in a fly-in cabin. Not sure what it’s worth but it has a good back story.
On my next batch I’m going to cut the Johnny’s seasoning to 2 tablespoons and up the paprika to two tablespoons.
Have you tried poultry seasoning in your recipe? Sage sounds like it would be good in a chicken mix.
B-Man that’s the kind of detail I’ve been needing. Thanks! Now I just have to catch some fish… BTW Crystal hot sauce is my personal favorite
This thread got me wondering how many holes I could get out of a battery. So I drilled one hole and stayed put for 3 1/2 hours. (Long story of Helix sonar fail, I wanna get a lithium!)
Then I tested my rig after leaving it lay on the ice the whole time. She drilled 88 more holes and stopped halfway through the 89th. I was more than happy with that. Was starting to think I would quit if I hit 100!
Makita hammer drill, 5aH battery and 6” Nils in 10” of ice. Very good outfit.
Sunday I had lots of fish moving through and lots of “lookers” but no biters.
Question for you guys: can a USB-C Power Delivery cable run a graph? It looks like they can provide a range of voltages up to 20v. My Makita 18v battery adapter only has USB ports so might I run an Ice Helix 7 with it?
A recent issue of In-fisherman has an article about benthic panfish. It says they will go to the bottom if blood worms or something are emerging. They just have to make it quick! Another reason why they will suspend over deep water.
I did the above and bought a DC power cord and a 33 Ah battery. The battery lasts at least two nights. Cpaps are actually DC so you can get the cord from your Cpap supplier. Battery is from Batteries Plus.
Correct Iceager. It can connect to a trolling motor too. I’ve used wood or aluminum for the upright with a spring clamp. Works good and is portable.
I have had LL Bean’s Streamside cleats with boa for a couple years. Really nice. They’re made for fly fishing but great for ice.
Lots of people fishing from Wyoming to Rush City. Ice is clear and smooth as glass. Wish I had long blades! Mostly 3”. I found 4” and went out.
Thanks for the intel. I just watched Sobi on YouTube and he used red and gold and hot pink. From yesterday, good stuff.
Question for Bearcat and guys who’ve been catching fish. What are they biting on, anything new, colors that stand out? I’m heading up there in 2 weeks. Any info appreciated! Thanks.
Hi
I have an old wooden backframe. It’s been in the family and is probably 1930’s or older. I’ll ask my Dad as it was my Grandpa’s. Willing to let it go.

Well the lost vest wasn’t claimed so I donated it to the high school trap team. I threw in another upland vest that was in a closet. Size medium which I haven’t worn for I don’t know how long haha. After talking to the activities office I added golf clubs and a cross-country skiwax kit that the kids needed. So that felt like a better place than giving it to Goodwill. Hoping some kids use it to start a new sport!
Grass keeps growing at about 35 degrees and up. I mow as long as it’s growing. I like to have it pretty short for winter so it doesn’t lay down and get snow mold.
