My point exactly! As a native american, you should embrace and protect the land(I think), not use and abuse. I have also wittnessed the lack of pride and ambition on some tribal lands.

Next time they ask why you are hunting and fishing, tell them it’s part of your native american tradition, along with conservation training.

If we all boycotted casinos, wouldn’t the tribes need more fish to eat, since they wouldn’t have any jobs or money to spend on fastfood-takeout or fine dining. The fact is that our government officials have gained too much power because we the people have allowed them to help too many people that don’t deserve the help. Let’s just say that if you were of Native American blood and recieving help from any portion of our government(local-state-national), I think you should live like an indian in a teepee not a high roller. If the tribes waste a resource(fish), we are in trouble because they are supposed to know how to live off the land(isn’t that what indians are supposed to do),not casino revenues or our tax dollars. Sorry if i have offended anyone(your concious is your savior), just my thoughts.

Ice flows weren’t the only thing going downriver, what about the wood that was moving.

Hey d,great to have you as a neighbor. We should spend a day in a boat next year and you can teach me how to catch a sow like the one you got this year, she was pretty. Don’t be a stranger next year and stop on by.

there needs to be a separate forum for repetitive jokes and constant ball washing of other men

wow,i’m sorry you feel that way mac,but nobody was trying to ruffle feathers, the fact of the matter is that taking a peace offering can only improve a guys chances at getting the right tool for the job, putting some food in the freezer, and building friendships. And if that’s ball washing (as you call it), i guess i’m guilty and glad to not be you.

Maybe you need to offer up a trip swap or something to get a chance at a good one. Not trying to insult anyone, but easy to do when whitetail paradise is your back yard.

You can’t shoot big bucks if you shoot the little ones with potential, but still nice to know where his haunts are at(for future hunts).

A grease fire at the Crusty Crab,(Spongebob’s fault) ,no, a wingdam or rock reef with baitfish suspended above it.

If i recall, at least i’ve managed to catch some fish as of late compared to your bottom feeder expeditions(if not show pics ). I don’t recall fishing last spring on the miss or ever taking lessons on bait fish from bottom feeders. O-yeah,i remember walleye fishing on pool 4 last spring, but don’t remember fishing for bass/baitfish.

Thanks BM1, it made me remember the ups and downs of tourny fishing(the ups outweighed the downs) and ready to start fishing the Mighty Miss alot more. I will be exploring the lower end in the next few weeks to see how it is compared to my past experiences(we guessed up river and after 1 hour my gut said wrong choice, and the weigh-in confirmed it). Maybe even start fishing a few tournys and finally join a club. Stay in touch, I need to take you and Boods, and my son smallie fishing next spring(when they’re on fire ofcourse).

All depends on water clarity and body of water, the favorite one is the one that catchs fish, second would be green. Glen, you didn’t tell us your favorite.

Our team ended up in 15th place with only eight fish.My boat hasn’t seen the Mississippi for 5+years( where is all the water,i was seeing cover that i used to catch fish on), the game plan was to head to my back yard and catch smallies, but that changed when i couldn’t read the river by 10:30, due to the fog. We ended up choosing to head north and flip and pitch our way back(didn’t prefish for the tourney),caught plenty of fish(just too short),and only managed a couple 15″ keepers. Our partners boat went slop fishing all day and caught 6-14″ keepers(they went limit fishing and we went hog fishing). All in all,it was great to fish the Miss again and to fish a tourny for the first tome in 9 or 10 years.Next year we will be a little more prepared. My brother and I are considering tournament fishing again, now that the kids are big enough to understand and maybe even participate. Congrats to all who cashed.

Converted from bottom feeders to scaly fish. What can i say other than topwater and jumping get’s the heart pumping instead of sit and wait, and wait, then move and wait then fish on.

You could use some of bk’s stinkbait.Or you could try some shock therapy with an electric fencer (solar powered-no cord for them to chew on).

If it keeps going this way,I’ll be a tourist to Wisconsin instead of a taxpayer.Taxes are too high, cost to run a business is outragous. It seems that Doyle likes ambitious people to pay the way with liscenses, taxes, schooling, and credentialling,at least in the trades line of work.
