    I’ve only been out there 3 times for the opener and 2 other times than that and seem to find the majority of my fish in the 6-8 foot range.But I think it was 2 or 3 openers ago where it was a little earlier ice out and I also found a few more fish shallow.I’ve spent alot of my time there around manhatten island and done ok.

    I’m almost ready to have my wife drop me off at the nut hut if this weather don’t break.

    I don’t know if you are familiar with hall of fame fishing guide the GRIZZ. But he would rather fish out his jon boat than his 620t ranger any day of the week.Nobody would be laughing at him at the starting launch.It’s just a platform.

    I do alot of trolling. thought I’d maybe drag some three ways through some holes. If I can find some with fish in them.
    I’m actually from northern minnesota.Just some dumb nickname my buddies call me.It was either big country or the nickname my wife has for me but I didn’t want to get booted on my first day.
