    Thanks Poo and Jason!
Your insights and feedback are very helpful and very much appreciated! The trip will be fun and I always enjoy exploring new waters. If either one of you are up opening week I’d love to meet you and tip a cold one with you!
    Thank you again!

    Hi Poomunk,
I’m headed up for this year’s opening week of fishing. I’ve never fished the lake before. I purchased the Fishing Hot Spots map. We’re staying at the Pineair Resort. In your opinion are the fish generally back in the bays for the opener or still out in the main lake? I’m from Stone Bank and fish smaller lakes in Waukesha. Thanks!

Good advice, I’ll buy some new ones this coming spring. Thanks!

Thank you for the advice on that leelock skag option! Looks great and I’m sure it’s helpful.

I do have a troll master for the kicker. What is a Leelock steering fin? Not familiar with that option. Thanks……

Great adds guys! I have flares, whistles and VHF radio from fishing LBDN years ago during it’s glory days.
Thank you all for the great input!

Again, thank you all for your great feedback and ideas! I’m looking forward to getting out fishing with the “new to me” boat this coming spring. If you think of anything else I’m listening!

    Hi Nate,
I saw your post and wondered if you got up to Rainy river, and if so, how did you do? I’m looking to try fishing it for the first time this fall, early November. If you have any insight or advice, I’m all ears.
    Thanks,
    Dave
