Save some coin next time an buy some heavy duty washers or nuts at a fleet farm or harware store…no lead either to be in lake should they come loose.
    I’m just sayen?

Maybe we could ask area coppers about getting permission to photo these creeps and record truck or car license numbers….an turn in trash bums to them for later action.
Maybe make a cell call an they come on over to ticket them up.
For sure something has to be done as year after year this just keeps getting over the top.

Amazing that when I ask someone to take it home as you brought it out here they mumble, but I simply turn on my best Charile Manson smile an they get my drift.

Sad one has to baby sit grown people about such childish things as litter on the ice an just being nice to Mother Nature.

Sorry but tire of reading an seeing this junk posted.

    Why oh Why?

    Thanks.

We can work on the RULES!
Always fun to be by the Grill.
Most improtant would be to RELEASE ALL BIG Pike.
Then make sure Me and Ace get fed!

Entry fee goes to Kids on the Range and provied meat for the Grill for us fishers in the contest and a few pops?
    LOL
    Keep it all really simple.
    Barbless hooks also.

New lure will be cheap and very effective.
Watch out, were going to most likely going to be taking the Pike and Musky world by storm!

Check Attachment for more Vermilion Pike?

    Hey Lazzzzzz.
Make’en babies dose have it’s down side?
    LOL

Five years from now Ace, we will be having to beat them off with my New Secret Musky / Pike Lure.
    The GREEN, BJ Hawgcaller!
Coming to a bait shop in your area very soon!

Maybe we can put together a BIG Pike contest for the area and have some fun.
Winners get to have lunch and there photo taken with us, loosers buy it, cook it, serve it up?

I too have caught a 40″ plus Pike while Crappie fishing a few times.
One sweet, wide shoulder babe comes to mind on 4 LB Berkley Slecet line and a 1/8 Whistler jig and grub out of a small Bull rush patch two years ago.
NO crappies, but a bunch of nice pike?
No leader made it even more fun.
5′ cherrywood rod and ultra light reel.
    Sweet.
Went back later with a Jitter bug and had a blast.
Might have photo to share tonight.
    Trying to sell boat today.

    Big Gator heads.

Hey Ace, this is something I for one am in favor of.
Great to see more Big fish in a already great system in a few years.
I felt really good when I first heard about this.
Might urine off a few old timers, but it will be very interesting to see what the results will be in say five years?

Hook some face and let her go!

Best way to find stuff sometimes is to just drift around and fish a fishy looking spot, keeping and eye on the depth finder and WOW!
    Stuff just show up!
    Cool.
Nothing like getting Walleyes off the dock at opener.
From the lake to the pan in minutes.
    Mmmmm.
How long did you say it was till opener?
    LOL

That was a pretty good read.

This technique has been around for a long time, now being brought to the massess.

My Dad used to call it a “Branch” set up.
We used it fishing Crappies since the early 60’s.
It is really used a lot by charter boats on the West coast.
Deep Jigging for Rock fish and the like on Day outings.
    Sweet.
Never had a Knot on the sinker end though.
LOL, we never had sinkers until about 1968 I’m guessing?
We always used bent Washers or Solder as weight.
Bend it over the line about six inches up and when you would get the tag end caught in brush or rock, you just pull on the rod and the washers or solder would stay, your line would come free.

One thing to mess with that may work for you useing a heavy hook or jig when bassing or maybe even Walleyes.
Go to a 14 to 20 LB test Leader for attaching your hooks or jigs to and make them about Eight inches long.
This will really get them to hanging away from your main line and even the slightest rod movment by you will reall get the baits moving.
    Very fun.
Works Great on Vermilion in all the Rock when fish are on the feed.
Cool way to fish Crappies and the like in Brush and rocks.
    Even good under a cork.

    Good read above.
    Nice job.

    Hi Ace!
    What’s shake’en bro?
That Musky banner your talk’en about have my name on it?

    Mother where you been Bud?
Seen ya at my front dock when we was puting it in, then never again all season?
Must have called you on that Radio 100 times last spring!
    Where ya go man?
Hope Homer J. did not scar ya clean away?
Hell they all got Ace’s number.
They run to the dock like wild fire when ever anyone comes close to the Island in hopes it is him or someone with BEEF!

Must of gotten eat’en up by the Phantom Ski between me & Ace’s place eh?

I have found lots of unmarked stuff over the years and hit some stuff with my Trolling motor to while working a reef or shore line and dragged my skeg on a few things that came up out of no place.

Cruising speed I’m always careful and watching the depth finders for hidden treasure!
Hot Spots map is pretty good for telling or showing people where to find things, but it is a huge lake and there is so much more under the surface that it is to cool.
    What you say boys?
That is most of the fun for me really while cruising around doing nothing, fishing or guiding, is looking for and finding stuff that few to no one knows is there.
People who mark the lake do a great job and there are lights to lead the way too.
But Big winds can move markers, so please so do as Ace and Mother mention, Beware and use good sense!
    Have fun, but be careful.
As for night fishing, I love it.
Never got lost yet, I’m a natural in the night!
Love to see people’s White knuckles as I burn them back to there home base in the deep dark night!
    YeeeeHaaaaaa!!
    I love it!
Plus those hounds can find the Island in the darkest, thickest, dead of night Mother Nature can throw at us!

    NO fish by my place.

I have me a head lamp, but don’t use it much.
Nice flash lites and some pop up lights.
Those tubes you crack and they Glow work great!
I’m work’en on adding some low voltage Strip Lights to my 2025 Mag. Pro V LE along the Gunal.
Like you see in the Movie theaters along the floor.
    Sweet.
Only bring a few things to fish with and hold on.
Spooky out there at night on that big water.

Fun part of the whole deal is getting back home from 15 miles away in pitch dark on a overcast night.

    Hi Dannyboy

I don’t guide for Panfish, only Musky!
Well, come to think of it I DO guide for Panfish?
If you count my Bonnie and our three Golden Retrievers, Bailey, Barney and Homer J. as customers.

Bonnie pays me with a sandwich and a Kiss and the other three pay me in Smiles!

If your ever around and the Panfish are bite’n and you want to go try an nail a few, just ring me up on the Island and we can have a go at it.

Terry always seems to know where there hitting and Cliff also.
Were all pretty good about sharing info and helping people get on fish!
    Mmmmmmm Crappie filets.
    Sweet!

Got to go, this made me hungry!

Ace is more expericened with and dose the West more than I do, but when I go on request, I do like the deeper Cabbage and more weeds period.
Still like the points, narrows, current breaks, humps and weedlines!
Millions of places to cast to that are some what different than the East end.
No need to go there as our East side Rocks!
But, it is fun up the West end.
Bonnie and I like to hunt for Crappies up that way and have found some Killer Sunfish!
Yes, a Musky guide that likes pan fishing!

    Take it away Terry!

    Hi Ace.
I sent them pictures in to get more people to ask YOU questions about the great place we get to play and live on.
    Cool eh?

I sent in a few of Bonnies also.
That one is the 49″ I caught next to your dock in that little, narrow patch of cabbage!

    Rock on bud!

Good luck and don’t give up ALL the sweet spots or feeding areas.

    Super Job!
