If you have a main motor tiller, I don’t think the wedge will keep the motor from swaying back and forth. The transom saver that I have does a good job of keeping my merc 60 hp stable, so my vote is for a transom sasver.
January 25, 2011 at 11:38 pm #930356I was told by Sears that putting a new refrig in a garage would void the warranty. Don’t know if that is true, but I got a Gladiator which is designed for garages – hot summers and cold winters. It has a built in heater and extra insulation. A few hundred dollars more, but works like a charm.
March 14, 2010 at 5:58 pm #853447Had a 98 1660 Lund Pro V tiller, 50 hp Mariner 4 stroke, and experimented alot with props. Settled on a 12 pitch stainless (Vengenance I think). Motor was all the way down. I don’t know what your boat is rated at, but if mine had been a console, it would have been rated at 115 hp (but only 60 hp as a tiller) I think many tillers ratings that come in console also, are underpowered for the weight of the boat. Finally concluded that 12 pitch performance was the best I could do for the situation.
January 6, 2009 at 1:53 am #734413I mounted mine right next to each other. No rooster tail, but I made sure that the points of the transducers were as close to the bottom edge of the traducer board that I could get – in other words no gap.
December 16, 2008 at 4:15 pm #729187Lets see if I can get this right. Fewer people are buying an item, so lets raise the price! Only happens in government!
November 12, 2005 at 1:49 pm #396211Matt: I considered the Marcum, but would like to use the Vex on my autopilot with the universal sonar during the summer. As far as I know the Marcum doesn’t work with the Minnkota. Am I right?
