Went to Minnetonka yesterday morning. Started the day chasing muskies, but with only a couple of follows. One was very nice size (mid 40s). Also snagged a few decent pike. The action was slow, so after a few hours, we started fishing for bass. Caught some nice 3 and 4 pounders. All on the reefs with milfoil. The bass appeared mostly to be off the edges in the deeper water/weeds. Spinnerbaits were the ticket.

Thanks for the info Gary. There was a 40 boat group guide trip on Tonka on friday and most of the fish were caught the same way. As the water cools the bass seem to either move shallow up on the flats and around the docks, or to the outside edges. cranks should work good to on those outside fish.
