At the end of the month I will be moving to Stevens Point Wi and was wondering what the fishing conditions are like on the Wisconsin river…..my house is literally a block and a half from a boat launch, and help would be appreciated!!!

Lots of eyes on the Wisconsin, but don’t expect Pool 4 size averages. Huge Crappies in that system also.

Petenwell is one of the most underfished lakes in the entire state, Castle Rock is one of the most over-recreationaly used lakes in the state.

That is a great fishery. Muskie, smallmouth, walleye. Lots of good fishing in that part of the world

Like was already mentioned. It truly is a Great fishery. While fishing for walleye, northerns or muskies, the smallmouth will definitely keep you amused and busy. Don’t expect monsters, but you will catch alot of ’em.

Dust off your top waters. Lay on a supply of 4 inch green salt tubes for texas rigs. Find a skinny water boat and have at it.
