So my Wife an I always wanted to try a Sturgeon trip on the Fraser River and for our 5th wedding anniversary we did just that. My Wife found the guide and planned most of the trip as she loves reading reviews and Instagram. All I had to do way pay, but I had to lay down some ground rules. I wanted to fish more then one day and keep the price reasonable other wise we’d be fishing half day and touring/dinning the rest of the time. We went with Lang’s Fishing Adventure from Mission BC and had an awesome time, even tried salmon fishing but couldn’t connect with any just watched then cruise by in 3ft of water. But weather was perfect and we caught 10 lost a monster but out biggest was 9’1″. I will definitely be going again in the years to come.

What the hell is a big one if you caught a 9 footer?

Here’s a few more action photos. I was surprised they would use a whole salmon fillet and head for bait. They said it had to be fresh or decomposing and they wouldn’t touch previously frozen fish.

And to answer a few questions:
    – the 9 footer took 20mins to bring in the guide said that was fast as some will take 30-45 minutes and the 10ft and over will be 45mins to over an hour.
    – my wife would have beat me in size, the photo BC2022d was the monster we lost as the guide said it was an easy 10ft plus sized fish.
    – the biggest they caught that year was 11’8″ so far and they caught 2 10′ and one 11′ 2 weeks before we came.
