Game and Parks shut the Dam off last night set out the nets. There was a boat on each end of the dam and they both moved twords the middle and told people to leave the females alone.

Were you there? I heard they were telling guys to get out of the H2O as they were getting ready to shock. Pillager and I left about 14:30 yesterday, and the dam was already crowded. I heard it was nuts after dark.
On a side note, I convinced Pillager that he should NOT eat the eggs in the spring, as they are more tender in months that end in R, such as October and November. So, no eggs for Pillager last night!!March 29, 2007 at 4:38 pm #554756I was on the phone with a guy as it was happening . There were a bunch of boats and shore fisherman until instuctions came to leave . Lots of small males were being caught.
March 29, 2007 at 5:30 pm #554778So are they closing early? That is fine with me, be a lot of irate people tonight.
March 29, 2007 at 6:18 pm #554793They kicked them off last night?? That is all that I know for sure

April 4, 2007 at 8:45 pm #557067Close down all the dam faces during the month of April in Nebraska! Just my opinion.

April 5, 2007 at 12:20 am #557202I really think that it has worked at Sherman but I don’t think that you could find one person at the GPC that would agree.
One thing that it did do was cut down on the amount of big fish that were snagged and or netted.
Good fishin’

April 6, 2007 at 11:36 pm #558206You are right on flatwater…. I think and know it has worked but you will probably not find anyone at the NGPC that will agree!
