Is it too early to start looking for sheds already? Will my searching move bucks to other areas if they haven’t dropped them yet?
For now I will be looking locally where anyone is able to look for sheds as well. In the past I seem to not get serious about shed hunting until late February or early March. This is probably too late to start…right??
I have three fresh sheds so far, but they only add up to 35 inches. If you have private land that there is no worry, wait til march. Public land around here has become so bad, guys start last week in december.
Yes any stateland has become a rat race. So if you are going to look on public land you might want to start soon. Sheds aren’t on the ground long around here before they are picked up. But the worst part about looking early is having to repeatedly walk the same area since only a few have dropped. I have 9 fresh ones so far but have seen over 20 bucks this week still carrying both sides.
