I finally got around to taking my stringer shot of the squirrels we shot on our home farm this year. 34 to be exact. My goal was 50, but they grew much smarter as the season went on!!!
Call me crazy, but I think our heavy squirrel population was contributing to our lower deer population. I read that a squirrel can eat 46 nuts per day…that’s quite a few less meals for the deer. I guess we’ll see in the next few years if we start seeing more deer.
