I have a pedestal base that has 3 screws and 3 bolts holding it down. The three screws are working loose.I had this problem 7 or 8 years ago and put longer bigger ones back in it and they held until this past fall.
I was thinking maybe the great minds on IDO could give me some repair ideas.I thought about filling the holes with gelcoat and then drilling and screws again,or JB Weld.
I just don’t know if the gelcoat might be to brittle to hold up.Will the JB adhere to the glass.

I forgot to mention it’s a glass boat and i can’t put nuts and bolts in these 3.
Any fiberglass experts on here? Thanks for any ideas.

Why can’t you use nuts & bolts? All my boats glass or tin you could get under the floor to repair or replace something. But maybe you can get a toggle bolt and get it tight? Wouldn’t be ideal but might work.

It’s on the back deck of a bass boat. The three that are bolts you can reach in the livewell. The screws go into a solid glass you can’t put nuts and bolts.
