Tonka scored, its 2-1 now. Late in the third. Goalie will be pulled soon.

Wayzata has to punch a ticket first. So do the skippers.

Cool to see a Rochester team back.

    Good call. Again.

Chan could win state for sure.

No boat slip. Skipper alumni though. bawling

Chans goalie is a stud. Probably best in state.

There is a good story at star tribune about how Chanhassen waited a whole year to avenge their double OT loss to Minnetonka last year in the section final. They thought they should have won that game and then watched the Skippers go on to win the state tournament.

Looks like they got their revenge against the defending undefeated state champs and a new class AA team will be crowned. I’m officially on the Chanhassen Storm band wagon.

Regardless who is playing it’s the coolest state tournament anywhere. Sorry fans of other sports but it’s not even close.
Greatest sports memory of my life playing in it and we had zero chance of winning it.

    Double OT for Warroad.

    Warroad pulls it out.

Was a great game. Warroads goalie is so different compared to slukynsky last year. Half the size.

Good god, he made 44 saves tonight. 20 saves alone just in the second period.

Check out his stats on the year. Kids a stud. Never gave up more than 2 all year.

Am I seeing this right that he wears the C? And played Bantams for Minnetonka?! Man that’s gotta be a sweet sweet W for him

And the Tonka goalie played Bantams for Chan?! Ha this is nuts

Yup. Two years at holy family and didn’t play much.
Tonka goalie played 1 year in chan/chask but played all over otherwise. Mostly AAA.

Cellied too hard in Roch. Multiple panes of glass blew out. Didn’t know seamless glass was still a thing I guess maybe this is why ??

I was at the Centennial game and it was a solid win over a good maple Grove team.it will be interesting to how the seeding goes

That it will. Edina will be one. If Hill can pull off the win they will be 2 otherwise fairly open after that.

Chan will be 2 or 1 with Edina, then Hill at 3. Centennial I would think would get the 4 with beating rogers and maple grove.

    Probably right.
Edina 1 Chan 2 Hill 3* Centenial St Thomas 4-5 barring Hill St Thomas advance.

If they both lose Centennial will be 3 and draw names out of a hat after that.
Would be only 1 number one seed from sections that advanced.

All three of my kids played hockey though not at the high school level.
I agree with you about the speed and skill level of high school players.
It is truly something to see.

I just really wish Doc Emerick would do the pxp ONE TIME for at least the AA championship game. He said years ago he would if timing lined up. Well, now he is retired so he has all the time in the world.

I could see Minnetonka vs Wayzata in the class AA state final.

Gim I think you need to stick to weather forecasts bud! jester Just kidding! They should really consider putting the section finals on Bally’s or Fox+ or something because they have been epic for quite a few years now! I hope Edina and Chan are #1 and #2 seeds, so they don’t meet until the finals. Those Tonka kids are going to relive/regret that game forever! Not that they played poorly, but such an incredible amount of talent on one team, and didn’t even make it to state.
