    That isn’t very smart.

Yeah after I drilled and checked I’ve thickness I decided not put the big house out yet. I’m a bit of a chicken. I like at least 15 inches for the burb and ice house

Only 4 keepers tonight so far but I’ve probably caught closer to 30 fish. Surprisingly bite has slowed down as we approach nite time.

I have 12″ where I am on tonka right now. I’ve seen a lot of trucks and ice castles on the west end of the lake

Might as well start on dinner while the bite is slow

There was a load of cars and trucks on the river tonight. Checked ice in a few spots and it was 10, some was 13. A little to little for me to feel comfortable with an F150.

I’m assuming these were thrown in your bait bag. Impressive catches.

    I’m just assuming

That was my kids bag of keepers. Between 11 and 12 inchers. Biggest of the night was 13.5, nothing overly impressive. But the kids like catching them, bagging them and being responsible for putting a meal on the table.

20 something fish, most small, most in about 22, wish I had seen Jim’s vid before I went out, larger ones were in that in between depth range.

I think he is talking about James Holst’s crappie episode from this morning when he was catching 15 inchers on that slab rap in Minoqua, WI.

Wife & I were on a metro lake. Ice was 8 – 8.5″ and some slushy spots, which surprised me. Pike bite was good, 8 fish, largest 31″, three others, 28, 29.5, 30. Also found it odd that they were only taking 7″ suckers, when we ran out of those, put some 4-5″ on, wouldn’t touch em.

Nice job Ryan! I should really explore those lakes more. Always seem to forget out them.

Got on a north metro lake…ice is thick but slush is terrible. Came close to getting stuck a few times…which is tough to do with a Ram!

Bite for panfish was good but the bite windows were tight with a whole lotta lookers.

On the MPLS chain of lakes bite…that’s kinda like fight club if you know what I mean…
