SI on 788?

    Can side imaging be added to a non-side imaging Hummingbird just by adding the transducer? I believe the unit is a 788.

    I don’t believe so. There’s more to Side Imaging that just the transducer.

    No, the unit needs to be able to support all of the features of a transducer for all of the features to be avaliable. I believe the 797 is the SI unit in the 700 series. Hope this helps.

    I’m still being told that it will work, but I decided to just get a 997 instead. Hopefully I’ll get to try it this weekend.
