northern mn. food plots.

    those of us who have plots in northern mn.have been very fortunate to have had rain and alot of heat this summer. as you can see by the pics of my corn and soybeans things are looking good the corn is over 9′ tall and the soybeans are waist high. (a close look shows where i spread urea on the corn and it overlapped into the soybeans) the brassicas are looking good too

    Looks great Bob! That will attract deer from a long ways up in that country. I bet nobody has food like that for miles and miles around there!

    Bob,

    Great stuff!!! So, do you harvest any of these plots for feed or sale or are they simply they for the critters?

    That is by far the best corn I’ve seen this year!!

    Thanks, All plots are left for the deer, turkeys etc. The weather was the key to this years bumper crop. normaly my corn is about 5′ tall or less with small cobs and the deer are usualy able to overbrowse the soybeans. this was an exceptional year for all of us and our plots, years like this are very rewarding.
