We were able to get the spear houses out on Saturday in the Rain/Sleet/Snow. Had a group of two sitting in one of the houses Saturday mid morning to afternoon and they speared their limit in 3 and half hours with the biggest being 8lbs and they said they missed one about 14lbs. Overall they saw 16 pike. Sunday had a guy spear his limit in a little over an hour and saw 9.
I finally got a chance to spear Sunday afternoon; the lake was a little slushy be not bad. I unfortunately didn’t have the same luck as the others in the house as I only saw one small Pike, and about 40 Largemouth bass. The coolest thing I may have ever seen from the spear house was when a school of about 20 bass came swimming through.
Didn’t hear much for reports over the weekend except Splithand had almost 9 inches of ice. Hope to ditch work one afternoon and get out to do some walleye fishing this week but hockey may get in the way of that yet again.
