Great to see a Yar-Craft forum. Thanks for adding it. Let’s see some picture of your rigs. I’m running a 2016 2095BTX. My favorite boat to date.

Bought it local from North Country Marine in Garrison, ND. I always try to go local mainly for service reasons.

In fact I had an alarm go off this weekend backtrolling. I dropped it off in the parking lot on the way home. I will call service Dept Monday and more then likely pick it up Friday night once they run the codes. They will plug it in for me so it is all charged up and ready to fish.

My new to me 2008 1785bt. Bought it this spring and rigged with a new 80lb Terrova I-pilot, and a Helix 10 Meg SI with Chirp. Only had 125 hours on it when I bought it. LOVE THIS BOAT!

I’ve got one that most probably haven’t seen before:)!

2013 Bass Cat Calico (AKA Yarcraft 186FSX)
Bought new in 2015 and getting ready for my 4th season with it. Love the boat, very dry, comfortable, handles well, fast, and good in the rough stuff for it’s size. Next stop will be a 219TFX for the rough water ability, might be a couple more years with this one though!

2018 Yar Craft 219TFX with Mercury Verado 300 Pro, Mercury 9.9 Prokicker, MinnKota Terrova 112. Looking forward to getting this rig on the water and running it through its paces. Big thanks go to Eddy Lyback at Lyback’s Marine in Isle MN, awesome buying experience, he and his staff were very helpful.

Not a lot of traffic on here, hopefully this picks up with time. Not sure if any of you have tried the Yar-Craft Owners Board, but it’s like ghost town! Was hoping to see a little more traction here as another dedicated message board for Yar-Craft owners and such.

Yar-craft is down… since selling to BassCat they have almost fallen out of sight… too bad, such great hulls… best tillers out there for years IMO. They set the standard.

I suggested to the owner a couple years ago to make a “Yar-Cat.” Basically a deep-V Yar-craft hull with a bass boat layout. Yes, a Lund Pro-V Bass ala fiberglass style.

    Just sayin’

    Yar-craft is down…

I noticed last week that Google says they are permanently closed, yet their website says nothing of the sorts. What’s the deal?

I doubt they are down. Yar-Craft rep was at the sportshow and they hired Brett King away from Warrior to represent them on the walleye trails. As someone else would say……fake news.

That’s because the Wausau Wisconsin plant is closed and they were moved down to Arkansas with Basscat.

My 2095btx is far from a bass boat. It will handle some pretty rough stuff and still give you a good ride.

Yar-Craft hasn’t went anywhere and certainly hasn’t fallen out of sight as some has said. Fact is, they are selling more boats now than ever in the history of that company. Since the ownership change to bass cat back in 2012, the product line has continually been tightened and refined with better building techniques and materials throughout the product line. With Joe Okada and Brett King on the pro staff, they have some very good spokemen on their side.

The company has actually also continued to strengthen with its the merger into the Correct Craft organization which houses more 7 boats brands including Natique, Bass Cat, Yar-Craft, Bryant, and it’s own marine engine group along with a few other brands.

Brian, FYI, I think the bass boat comment was in reference to that individual that suggested yar-craft should build a deep v hull with a bass boat cap similar to the Lund Pro-V bass. There are a lot of lund boats in my region and it’s boat I’ve never seen in person and would expect to have a pretty small nitch….

It is apparent however that Yar-Craft owners are not necessarily active web/forum users as most of the yar-craft boards including the face book page and the manufactures page have virtually no traffic.

Just reminiscing my old Yar-Craft 1678 tiller. Covered a lot of water with that boat and landed some nice fish… never been in a tiller that size that handled rough water and tracked so well. Still miss it many days ~

I run into a guy on a local lake I hit with one of those. I will never be a tiller guy but nice boats. The 219TFX looks like my dream boat!
